Gray Wolves!! :b

Gray Wolves are known by their unique and loud howl. To them this is a way of communicating with each other. The lound howl is to let other wolves to stay away from his territory or to find a lost wolve of the pack. By the way gray wolves live in big group that are called packs. In one pack there can be from 5 to 30 wolves. In a pack they hunt together raise their babys, and protect their territory. Usually the leader of a pack are a female and a male which are the parents of their youngs. Wolf not only comunicate by howling but also by barking, growling, yelp, snarl, body language, and they also whimper. The way a wolve marks its territory is by using their urine like dogs.

Chimpanzees :DD

Hey everyone, well today I will be talking about our closest relatives the chimpanzees. These animals are found in central Africa in the forest.

Chimpanzees spent most of there time up in trees jumping from one branch to another branch.Baby Chimpanzees spent there first few months with there mothers following everywhere as they learn from them how to eat and the way they act. In the wild chimps get to be 50 years of age and weight about 120 pounds. The amount of chimpanzees living in the wild has reduced a lot. Today there is only about 200,000 chimps living in the 21 nations of Africa. Chimpanzees are related to gorillas, orangutans, monkeys, and believe it or not even humans. We all fall in the ape categorie. When chimpanzees walk they walk in there four legs using their two legs and two arms this technique is called knuckle walking. Their weight is supported by the soles of their feet and the back joints of their feet.

Lions :DD

Hey well today i will be talking about lions. Lions are found in Africa but before that they roamed Africa, Southern Europe, and parts of Asia. Lions live in groups called prides. These prides can go up to 3 lions as much as 40. In these prides lions raise their cubs, defend their terretory, and hunt prey. In these prides female lions are the ones who do most of the hunting and cub rearing. Female lions are called lionesses and most of the time they are all related either mother and daughters or sisters. Something really unique is that they have birth to their cubs about at the same time and a cub can feed from other females aswell as its own mother. The males responsibility in the pride is to protect and defend the prides territory. Mostly male lions only stay in the pride for about 4 years then they go on their own way. When a new male takes over the pride it is often the case for him to kill all the cubs ensuring that all future cubs will have his genes. Lions loud roar is often herd after sunset raund up stray members of the pride. This roar can be herd 5 miles away.

*!Jaguars!*

One of my favorite animals are jaguars. Jaguars are the third largest cat in the world and are found in Arizona and Texas, sometimes they will be found in the amazon river basin. Before they roamed the U.S all the way to the Mexican boreders but as the years pass the amount of jaguars become fewer. Jaguars eat fish, turtles, small aligators, cows, and deers. These big cats are really good swimers and can also climb trees. Jaguars spend most of their time in water and in land. When there in land they climb trees waiting for their prey once they spot their next meal they will jump on them and kill them instantly with a bite in their neck or head. Jaguars have big sharp teeth wich help them eat big animals such as cows and deers. Usually jaguars will live alone and will mark their territory by their waste or by clawing trees.

Pandas :))

Pandas are one of the rarest mamals in the world. They are found in Southwestern China in the rainforest and in high bamboo forest. Pandas diet consist on leaves and bamboo, sometimes they will eat fish or small animals but not really. Pandas spend most of their time eating. If pandas dont find bamboo they will starve to death. This is what is happening know because a lot of new homes are being built were pandas used to find bamboo and now have a limited source. About only 1,000 pandas survive in the wild. Pandas are relatives of bears. Pandas can live up to 30 years and in the wild only about 15 years. A female panda will give birth to 1 or 2 cubs every 2 years. The cub nurses for about 4 months before it beggins eating bamboo. Pandas are pretty big they can weight up to 300 pounds and newborn pandas weight only 3 to 4 ounces. Pandas are know considered endangered species and are hard to find. Most pandas are found in zoo's. Its sad knowing that such beutiful animals are dieing each day due to humans distroying their natral habbitat.

African Elephants :D

Today am going to talk about the African elephant. African elephants live in hot weather conditions, their trunks help them stay cool. They do this by pooring cool water into their bodies. These animals also use sunscreen well actually dirt but in their case it works as sunscreen to their bodie.Elephants are known for their long trunks. An elephants trunk can be as long as 7 feet long. They dont only use it to smell but also for touching and grassping. When an elephant drinks water they can drink up to 2 gallons of water at a time and eat up to 300 pounds of food a day. An elephant wrap their trunks around trees and into their mouth. An elephants trunk can also be used as a warning when its in danger by making loud trumpeting noises. Their tusks are used to dig food or in their case tree roots. Elephants are known for having the longest pregnancy out of all animals. It last up to 22 months. Mostly elephants dont have enimies but a human can be considered one since they hunt elephants for their big tusks. Tusks are ivory teeth that grow during the elephants life. !Camels!

Today am going to talk about Camels. There are variouse types of camels one of them is the Bactrian camel and another well known is the Arabian camel. A bcaterian camel live in Central and East Asias rocky deserts. You can tell the diffrence because a bactarian has two humps on its back. These two humps are used to store fat. The arabian camel only has one hump were it also stores fat. Both these camels use their stored fat as energy and water when they are far away from food or water sources. Even thought camels can travel long distances in hot conditions without drinking water. They can survive without drinking water for weeks. Storing fat in their humps helps camels not get hot and travel longer distances. At times camels can drink up to 30 gallons of water in 13 minutes. Camels also shed during diffrent seasons, during the winter it has a thick coat to protect them from the cold as the temperature changes so does their fur. Bacterian camels get to be 6.5 feet tall and have wide-toed hoofs and big flat footpads that prevent them form sinking in snow or sand.
